About

The International and Comparative Law Cluster (ICLC) brings together and supports academic researchers exploring critical questions of international and comparative law.

ICLC was established in 2023 and is led by Dr Maria Elander and Professor Luis Eslava.

Our aim

  • To strengthen the role of La Trobe Law School as a centre for international and comparative law scholarship
  • To build and sustain a strong research culture and community among international and comparative law scholars at La Trobe and with our research partners
  • To support graduate students and emerging scholars through graduate supervision, mentoring and peer support
  • To foster dialogue between disciplines and build collaborative partnerships in Australia and beyond

Our activities

The ICLC provides a platform for research related activities that engage with questions of international and comparative law. Our annual program of activities includes both regular and ad hoc activities. New initiatives proposed by ICLC members are welcomed.

The ICLC welcomes new members, visiting scholars, and opportunities for collaboration. Please contact the ICLC if you would like to be involved.
